Toting around a DSLR, and switching between English and Chinese, I’ve been questioned about my nationality everywhere. The same is true for my mom, but she’s gotten Taiwan as a guess a few times. No one’s guessed America yet! So far, these have been guessed, in no specific order:
- Malaysia
- Singapore
- Hong Kong
- Korea??
- China (Fu Jian)
I think the main reason I’ve blended in so far is my ability to hide my confusion when I’m asked something I don’t understand, and pull my mom over to “help in the negotiations”. Also, we’re clearly using English to discuss whether or not to buy…
